My daughter is 40 years old and has cp. When I was giving birth to her they did not do a c section instead she was forced out and we both almost died. My daughter had 4 or 5 seizures right after birth. At 3 months her soft spot was swollen on the top of her head and she was laying limp in my arms when I was turned out of a hospital with the statement that she did not have a doctor in that hospital. It took minutes into a hour to get her to another hospital. This hospital took one look at her and rushed her into the emergency room. Later she was diganosed with meningitis. I was told by the welfare department to take her to social security because they could not help me until ss helped her first. They refused to help me with her and told me that she would be able to work one day. She was only 2 or 3 years old. I raised her and her 2 sisters and brother by myself. She had seizures all of her childhood. This is actually the first time I have ever told this to someone that listens.
